I stumbled into the foodservice industry right after college in the field of Civil Engineering due to my CAD (Computer Aided Design) skills I’ve learned interning at the local Airport Engineering Dept. A local equipment manufacturing company was looking for a design engineer to help operate their sophisticated 3D modeling program. This brought out the creative side of me as well as the technical and I really enjoyed the corporate setting and environment. Meetings and dressing up made me feel important, but soon it just became a job. With the boss always telling me what to do along with the 7-4 day schedule, day after day, it got old.
